Other Relevant Contributions to the Energy Sector

1. A small hydropower plant was developed with all the intake structures, the power house and the tailrace at the University of Ilorin. The plant has generated almost 5kW and has been used to power machine tools, TV, satellite decoder system and fan.
2. Consultancy works has been done on various aspects of hydropower technology
3. Diploma in Hydropower Management and Technology is being developed with the Centre for Open and Distance Learning, University of Ilorin to provide a platform for training and capacity development in hydropower technology.
4. A 2-day Workshop on Operational Impact of Hydropower Generation on Host Communities and Lowland Areas in Kwara, Kogi, Kebbi and Niger States was organized by Energy Commission of Nigeria and National Centre for Hydropower Research and Development, held at University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria on the 18th to 19th September, 2012. It brought out the plight of the communities in hydropower producing areas and a bill was further developed for establishment of HYPPADEC.
5. Our 15kW mobile solar Inverter was exhibited at the National Office for Technological Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP) National Exhibition tagged: Investors and Innovators Techmart for Commercialization, held at NOTAP Arena, Blantyre Street, Abuja on the 10th to 11th September, 2013.
6. Annual participation of the Technology and Innovation Expo (2018 – 2024); organized by the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, Nigeria
7. A Two-Day Workshop And Exhibition On Small Hydropower Development For Off-Grid Electrification: An Indigenization Approach was organized at the University Of Ilorin Auditorium On 23rd – 24th November, 2021 Jointly Organised By The National Centre For Hydropower Research And Development (Energy Commission Of Nigeria) And Rhocom Technology Ltd.
